On the recommendations of the National Expert Committee on Women Prisoners “The State Jail for Women, Hyderabad was established on 01.10.1994, exclusively for women, managed by the women staff and officers .This Jail manufactures Bakery products and these products are very famous in the Telangana State. The prisoners are given vocational training in Tooth powder making, Chalkpiece Making, Candle Making, and floating candles, Italian Lace making, Curtain making , Disposable paper plate making, screen printing Tailoring unit, Jute bags Making Bootic Paints on sarees, Dry cleaning , sari tie and die, for which they are being paid wages
